This home and auto charging pair work well with the 3rd generation iPod Touch (and the manufacturer's site confirmed its compatibility). The auto charger is reasonably small. The home charger is compact and has folding prongs. The sync/charge cord looks well made, and is a good length for the car, but some might want more than the 3 feet it provides at home. Both have lighted indicators to show when they are charging, and they change colors to show when the charging is complete. Also, both offer some protection for voltage spikes.
I'm not happy that for $200 the IPod Touch doesn't include an AC adapter. But it is what it is, and this Griffen Home and car charger works well with the latest 3rd Gen Touch. It conveniently works via a USB cable that plugs into the Touch, and the other end into either the AC or Cig Lighter adapter. Plus, it should work to charge any other USB-charged MP3 player you have as you would just plug that device's USB cable into this.
I received the product within days. Good packaging and new. The charger is easy to use and very handy. I would recommend.
this product is perfect because you can plug your ipod into an AC outlet in your home, and/or your auto instead of your usb drive of your computer to charge.
I just finished a sync and it works as well as the cable that came with the iPod. Both the home charger and the car charger work perfectly with my iPod Touch 3G. After reading about some of the issues others had with low priced chargers, I decided to spend a little more for a brand name, hoping to get a good product.and I did. Note: the cable connector end that connects directly to the iPod has a button that is used to release it from the iPod before you remove the cable. Both chargers appear to have good quality construction and have indicator lights that change from red to green to indicate when the iPod is charged. Unlike some of the other cables, the cable that came with this product will charge the iPod and can be used to sync the iPod with iTunes. Since the original iPod cable did not have this, I thought the new cable was stuck in the iPod when I tried to remove it the first time. A simple push of the button enables an immediate release from the iPod.
